The result is often beautiful. But it is infinitely reproducible. It is a bit like baking a cake: a recipe, a mold, a temperature. Twice. Ten times. A hundred times. Identical every time.

That is not what I do.

I work with a torch. With a live, direct, unpredictable flame. I take borosilicate glass rods and plunge them into a flame that reaches several hundred degrees. The glass glows, softens, comes alive. And that is where everything begins. I have no mold. I have no recipe. I have my hands, my torch, my breath, and years of experience in every gesture. I turn, pull, blow, and fuse. The glass has a will of its own: it contracts, expands, changes color, creates reflections I never planned. It is a constant dialogue between the artist and the molten material.

When you pour into a mold, the shape is decided before you even begin. When I work at the torch, the shape emerges as I work. It is the difference between reading a script and improvising jazz. Between following a blueprint and sculpting a block of marble.

Because I never work with molds, every piece I create is absolutely irreproducible. Even if I wanted to make the exact same piece again, I could not. Glass never flows the same way twice. The flame never dances the same way twice. What you wear is a moment frozen in glass. An instant of fire captured forever.

What I practice demands years of mastery, a finely tuned sensitivity to the material, and complete presence in every gesture. The torch does not forgive distraction. Molten glass does not wait. It is demanding. It is intense. It is alive. This is the deep art of glass fusion. 🔥

Marius
https://mariusglassfusion.com/

There is a very common technique in the world of handmade jewelry: you prepare a mixture, pour it into a mold, put it in the oven, and unmold it.
